*Some exhibits will be changed during the event.
Since ancient times, Kobo Daishi Kukai has been depicted in various forms and has become an object of worship. Through these paintings, this exhibition will explore the unknown image of Kobo Daishi.
In addition, the museum will display esoteric Buddhist iconography from the Heian to Kamakura periods, esoteric Buddhist ritual implements used in ceremonies such as "kanjo," as well as esoteric Buddhist scriptures and paintings, providing an easy-to-understand introduction to the world of esoteric Buddhist art. Please enjoy the beauty of esoteric Buddhist prayers as you come into contact with the masterpieces handed down at Mount Koya.
(Approximately 60 items including national treasures and important cultural properties will be on display, with a regular exhibition running at the same time)
