"Protect the Treasure! ~Taisho Era Preservation Project~"
Period: April 29, 2011 (Friday, national holiday) to July 10 (Sunday)
Koyasan Reihokan Museum will celebrate its 15th anniversary on May 2011, 90. Since its founding, numerous treasures have been created and passed down over its 1200-year history. The Reihokan Museum bears the heavy responsibility of preserving these treasures (cultural properties). Many people, including prominent figures in the political and financial worlds, were involved in its establishment, and it was a difficult journey during the turbulent Taisho period.
This exhibition will showcase the treasures that were on display at the time of the museum's opening, as well as the people and stories of the hardships that led to its founding.

Special Exhibition "Amida Shoshu Raigo-zu"
April 29 (Friday, national holiday) - May 22 (Sunday)
The center of the main building of the Reihokan Museum is called the "Shiun-den Hall." It was named after the purple clouds that Amida Buddha is said to ride when he arrives in this world, and is a space for exhibiting the "Amida Shoshu Raigo-zu" painting housed in the 18 temples of the Hachiman-ko Association.
To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the museum's opening, the "Amida Shoshu Raigo-zu" painting will be exhibited, recreating the original appearance of Shiunden Hall.
