Winter Exhibition "Art of Esoteric Buddhism"
Period: Saturday, January 17, 2015 - Sunday, March 15
We will be holding our annual regular exhibition "The Art of Esoteric Buddhism." If you look at the history textbooks for junior high school students about Kobo Daishi Kukai, you will find a brief introduction along the lines of "a monk who traveled to China at the beginning of the Heian period and brought back esoteric Buddhism." Naturally, there is no explanation of what the teachings of the "esoteric Buddhism" that Kukai brought back were. In this regular exhibition, we aim to show you the "esoteric Buddhism" in the light of the textbook description.
