"Nyorai" means "the enlightened one" and is the highest rank of Buddha, so it has attracted the faith of many people since ancient times. Examples of Nyorai include Dainichi Nyorai, who is located at the center of the mandala, Amida Nyorai, who leads to the Pure Land, and Yakushi Nyorai, who grants good health and freedom from illness, and are enshrined as the principal image of temples. Mount Koya has many cultural assets with a Nyorai motif or related to Nyorai.
This exhibition will display exquisite cultural assets from the Koyasan Reihokan Museum's collection.

First public release New discovery! Entsuji Temple's 84,000 Treasure Pagoda
This April, we will be exhibiting a portion of the "84,000 Treasure Towers," a group of small wooden stupas from the late Edo period that were discovered at Entsuji Temple in Mount Koya.
