This year marks the 1100th anniversary of the Emperor bestowing the posthumous title "Kobo Daishi" on Kukai. Mount Koya is also home to many cultural properties related to the Imperial Family, including Emperor Saga and Emperor Daigo. This exhibition will focus on cultural properties related to the Imperial Family, as well as Buddha statues and scriptures that Shingon sect members perform for the Emperor and the nation.
