Koyasan Reihokan Museum 100th Anniversary Exhibition "Treasures of Mount Koya"

Koyasan Reihokan Museum, which opened in 1921, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. To commemorate this, the Museum will hold a special exhibition, "Treasures of Mt. Koya," to display selected cultural properties from its collection of national treasures and important cultural properties. The museum will exhibit cultural properties that are not usually available to the public, such as the three great treasures associated with Kobo Daishi Kukai: "National Treasure: Rōgoshiki," "National Treasure: Shozon of Various Buddhas," and "Important Cultural Property: Gilt Bronze Trident (Flying Trident)," as well as "National Treasure: Standing Statue of the Eight Great Children" by Unkei and "Important Cultural Property: Statue of Peacock Myoo" by Kaikei.
