2023 Autumn Special Exhibition "The Disciples of Kobo Daishi Kukai"

In the 7th year of the Kōnin era (816), Kobo Daishi Kukai founded Mount Koya. After he entered nirvana in the 2nd year of the Jowa era (835), his disciples, who inherited the Daishi's will, worked to develop Mount Koya and save all living beings.
This exhibition will display cultural assets related to the Master's disciples, as well as the tools used in the Denpo Kanjo ceremony, the ceremony to become a Shingon Buddhist monk.
