This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Koyasan Choishimichi and Kongobu-ji Temple grounds being registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004 as part of the "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range."
Therefore, this exhibition will focus on World Heritage sites and display cultural assets associated with the World Heritage areas.
Additionally, treasures have long been collected at Mount Koya from all over the country, and from among these, cultural assets closely related to World Heritage sites other than Mount Koya will also be on display.
