The 11th Great Treasure House Exhibition - "Shinzen Daitoku and the Treasures of Mount Koya" - Exhibit List
August 1, 1990~September 15
Greetings

Dento Kokushi Shinzen Daitoku was the second founder of Mount Koya, succeeding Kobo Daishi. After the Daishi's nirvana, things were in a difficult state, but he worked hard to improve things, and he was a high priest who built the foundation of Mount Koya as a major center of Japanese Buddhism. Kokushi passed away on September 11th, 891, at the advanced age of 88. This year marks the 1,100th anniversary of Kokushi's death, and the Koyasan Shingon sect will hold a large ceremony from September 8th to 14th.
In response to this, the Koyasan Reihokan Museum will hold the 11th Koyasan Great Treasure House Exhibition from August 1st to September 15th, where it will publicly display treasures connected to Shinran Daitoku. However, during Daitoku's time, Koyasan was in its early days, and management was extremely difficult, with no established systems, few resident monks, and no time to keep records.

It may be only natural that there are no direct records left by Kokushi.
